The Ahrya Fine Arts Theater in Beverly Hills opened up its doors for the premiere of Mind Over Matter, a film directed by Sebastien Paquet that follows the incredible and inspirational life of Brandon Mendenhall in his journey to pursue his passion: rock music.
Brandon was born with cerebral palsy that affects his left side, primarily. With his left hand paralyzed, he was told that he wouldn’t be able to play any instrument. Inspired by the rock band Korn and the personal story of guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer and how he rehabilitated his severed finger after an accident, Brandon went on to rehabilitate his left hand and proved that with courage and dedication, he was able to play the guitar and start his own rock band, The Mendenhall Experiment.
